VOCABULARY TWO EXPLORERS

CANE: a short staff to assist one in walking 

CARTS: a two-wheeled vehicle pulledby horses by horses, oxen, etc., and used to carry goods, 

for farming, etc 

CELL:a long, hollow woody stem with joints, such as that of the bamboo plant 

COAL:a mineral substance made of carbon, used as a fuel 

CURLY HORNS: paired growth that stick out from the heads of cows, gosats, sheeps, etc with 

the shape of curls

DROWNED: to die from being put under water 

FABRICS: a cloth made by weaving or knitting threads or fibers 

FIREWORKS:an explosive device for producing a display of light or a loud noise, used for 

signaling or as part a celebration 

FRIARS: a man who is a member of a Roman Catholic mendicant order

GUESTS:a personwho spends some time alt another´s home in a social activity, as visit or party

KNEEL: to go down or rest on the knees or a knee 

MARBLE: limestone that has been changed into a hard rock, used in sculpture an in buildings 

MIRAGE: an image one sees in the desert, of an object that is not present an illusion

NUT:  a dry fruit 

RAISED:to offer praise or thanks to or to petition 

SANDSTORM:a windstorm in desert, that blows along great clouds of sand

SPICES: a strong-smelling or sweet-smelling vegetable substance, such as pepper or cinnamon 

to season food 

TAX COLLECTOR: a person that collects the money for the state 

THREAD: athin, fine cord of fiber spun out to great length

TIED:in a state, in wich the same number of points, etc... has been scord by two competitors 

WAVED GOODBY: a movement of the hand

WEAVING: to lace together so as to form a fabric

WHISPERED:a person or thing that whispers 

WIDOWS: a woman whose husband has a died and who has not remarriedd

WORMS:a long soft-bodied, legless creature without a backbone, as the eartworm 

WORSHIP:ence for God, a sacred personage, or a sacred object
